Alcantarea glaziouana is a spectacular, large-growing terrestrial or lithophytic bromeliad that forms a broad architectural rosette of long, glossy green leaves. These young established plants are an excellent starting point for collectors who want to grow their own impressive giant specimen.

With time and the right conditions, this Brazilian bromeliad can develop a rosette approaching 1 metre wide and produce a tall branched flowering spike with fragrant pale cream to white flowers. Its strong form makes it a striking feature plant for a warm garden or a large container.
