Osmocote Pro 5–6M is a professional-grade controlled-release fertilizer trusted by horticulturalists and serious plant growers worldwide — now available in convenient sizes for home gardeners and collectors. It provides your plants with a steady, precise supply of nutrients over several months, supporting healthy roots, strong growth, and beautiful foliage and flowering without the risk of overfeeding.
Simply sprinkle the recommended amount over the surface of your potting mix, gently work the granules into the top layer of soil, and water thoroughly. Osmocote Pro does the rest — releasing nutrients gradually as your plants need them, so you can feed with confidence and focus on enjoying your garden. Repacked by Botanical at Nine with succulent-specific dosage guidance included.
How to Use
Application
Sprinkle evenly over the surface of the potting mix, keeping granules away from the plant's stem or crown. Gently work into the top layer of soil and water thoroughly after application.
Recommended Dosage for Echeverias
12 cm pot: 3–4 g
15 cm pot: 5–6 g
Do not pile fertilizer directly against the plant.
When to Feed
Best started in early spring as plants begin active growth — for South African gardens, this is generally September/October. Osmocote Pro 5–6M will then provide nutrition through much of the active growing season. For plants growing actively in warm conditions, feeding can also be started later in the season.
Do not fertilize newly repotted, stressed, diseased or dehydrated plants — allow them to establish first.
Suitable For
Echeverias • Succulents • Bromeliads • Hibiscus • Brugmansias • Palms • Tropical plants • Foliage plants • General garden plants
For Brugmansias, Hibiscus and other heavy feeders, additional feeding may be beneficial during periods of vigorous growth and flowering.
Important Notes
• Professional-grade formula: The same fertilizer used by commercial nurseries and horticulturalists — now available for home growers
• More is not better: Always follow the recommended dosage — excess fertilizer can damage roots and foliage
• Keep away from stems and crowns: Direct contact with granules can cause burning
• Water after application: Always water thoroughly after applying to activate the release
• Temperature dependent: The 5–6 month feeding period is temperature dependent — warmer conditions accelerate nutrient release
• Available in 250g and 500g
• Delivery: Delivered across South Africa — please ensure someone is available to receive your order
Perfect for succulent collectors, container gardens, and decorative plant displays.
